Hola! Buenos dias from Guatemala! I only have a few minutes, I am borrowing a computer from a fellow servant in this beautiful country! :)
Well, today is our 3rd day here and I have to tell you that Guatemala is a beautiful country! The beauty that the Lord has made astounds me. However, the poverty here is heartbreaking. These beautiful people live in such poverty that it breaks my heart.
Today we did VBS in a church and in one of the public schools. If you are reading this and you complain about your school...well, appreciate it. I have to tell you that the public schools here are astounding. The girls restroom was...well, I didn't want to use it. There was no seat on the toilets, no water to wash your hands, the toilets all ran over - I can't even begin to describe the condition.
The kids were awesome and completely wore us out! Payton and I worked on games with the kids while Darrin and Morgan did crafts. We had a great time!
We are down here with some awesome and funny interns. Sorry Jared! ;-) and also 2 great teams from some churches in Knoxville. We are having a great time serving and fellowshipping with others.
Well, it is 8:17 here abd 10:17 at home so I am ready for bed. This time change has affected me more than I thought that it would. Also, having a little stomach problems. Due to the fact that Darrin & I had spoiled milk for breakfast. Unfortunately we found out AFTER the bowl. LOL
Pray for these beautiful people and this beautiful country.
Love in Christ!!
